Terms & Conditions
1. Definitions 1.1 "AJS Event Productions" refers to the company providing the equipment and services. 1.2 "The Client" refers to the individual or organisation hiring equipment or services. 1.3 "The Equipment" refers to all items of equipment and accessories hired by AJS Event Productions to the Client. 1.4 "The Agreement" refers to the contract formed between AJS Event Productions and the Client, including these Terms & Conditions.
2. Hire Period 2.1 The hire period shall commence on the date specified in the Agreement and shall continue until the equipment is returned to AJS Event Productions, or until the agreed return date, whichever is earlier. 2.2 Extensions to the hire period must be agreed upon in writing and may incur additional charges.
3. Payment Terms 3.1 A deposit may be required to secure the booking and is non-refundable unless agreed otherwise. 3.2 Full payment must be made before the start of the hire period unless prior arrangements have been made in writing. 3.3 Late payments may incur interest charges at the mean base rate at the time stated by London Clearing Banks on outstanding balances. 3.4 By signing a quote or agreement, the Client accepts responsibility for full payment of the quoted amount, regardless of whether the equipment or services are ultimately utilised.
4. Delivery and Collection 4.1 AJS Event Productions will deliver and collect the equipment as agreed in the Agreement. Delivery and collection fees may apply. 4.2 The Client must ensure access to the venue/location is suitable and timely for delivery and collection. 4.3 The Client is responsible for inspecting the equipment upon delivery and notifying AJS Event Productions immediately of any defects or issues.
5. Equipment Use and Care 5.1 The Client is responsible for the safe and proper use of the equipment for the duration of the hire period. 5.2 Equipment must not be altered or tampered with by anyone other than AJS Event Productions or its authorised representatives. 5.3 The Client must not sub-hire or transfer the equipment to a third party without prior written consent. 5.4 The Client is responsible for keeping the equipment properly maintained and in good working order throughout the hire period. This includes routine checks, ensuring the equipment is stored correctly, and preventing exposure to conditions that may cause damage. 5.5 AJS Event Productions must be notified of any repairs carried out.
6. Damage, Loss, and Insurance 6.1 The Client is responsible for any damage to or loss of the equipment during the hire period, regardless of cause. 6.2 The Client must ensure adequate insurance coverage for the equipment for the duration of the hire period. 6.3 AJS Event Productions must be notified immediately of any damage, loss, or theft of the equipment. 6.4 Repair or replacement costs will be charged to the Client.
7. Cancellation 7.1 Cancellations must be made in writing. 7.2 Cancellation fees may apply as follows:

More than [4] days before the hire date: 10% of the Quoted Amount.

Less than [2] days before the hire date: 25% of the Quoted Amount.
8. Liability 8.1 AJS Event Productions is not liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising from the use of the equipment, except where caused by negligence on the part of AJS Event Productions. 8.2 The Client indemnifies AJS Event Productions against all claims, damages, and expenses arising from the use of the equipment during the hire period.
9. Termination 9.1 AJS Event Productions reserves the right to terminate the Agreement and reclaim the equipment if the Client breaches any terms of the Agreement.
10. Proof of Identity and Address 10.1 The Client is required to provide a valid form of identification (e.g., passport, driving licence) and proof of address (e.g., utility bill, bank statement) before the commencement of the hire period. 10.2 Failure to provide valid identification and proof of address may result in the cancellation of the hire Agreement. 10.3 AJS Event Productions reserves the right to verify the provided documents and retain copies for the duration of the hire period, in compliance with data protection regulations.
11. Consumables 11.1 Any consumables used during the hire period, including but not limited to atmospheric fluids, fixture lamps, and batteries, may incur an additional charge. 11.2 The Client is responsible for monitoring and replenishing consumables as required, unless otherwise agreed in writing with AJS Event Productions.
11. General 11.1 These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. 11.2 Any amendments to this Agreement must be agreed upon in writing by both parties. 11.3 If any provision of this Agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
