Love Quirks At The Other Palace

AJS Event Productions was proud to support Lighting Designer Oliver Mcnally in bringing the critically acclaimed musical Love Quirks from Broadway to London.

This was the first major production of Love Quirks staged in the UK so it was key that everything we provided fitted the creative work of Ollie, we worked closely with him through the design process to provide him with a rig of fixtures suitable for the productions budget and the unique space in Other Palace Studio, in the end we settled on a diverse range of fixtures:

• 4x Martin Mac Viper Performance

• 4x Martin Mac Aura

• 3x Chauvet R2 Wash

• 10x ETC Source 4 Profiles

• 1x Chauvet Amhaze ECO

As part of the hire we also provided full comms, show relay, cue-light & monitoring systems.

Alongside supplying the lighting for the show we were also bought in to install the set electrics for the standout feature of Bob Sterrets set design the 8 foot lightbox! Our team traveled out to Guildford where the set was built to do this install, we wired the leds inside to work across 2 channels so the designer could create gradients on the box.

One of our expert production electricians worked alongside the production to load the lighting into the Studio taking the lighting design and making it a reality in such a tight space, figuring out the cable runs for everything an negotiating with the set to make the lights we were installing fit around it.
